What Causes Erosion Of Duodenal Bulb?

I have erosion of the duodenal bulb. What causes this to happen? I have read a few answers that suggest avoiding Gluten, but that is just too simple an answer and quite frankly sounds to much like someone trying to push a holistic, everything free diet.
