What Causes Excess Bleeding During Periods?

Hi my name is Tia Williams and I had a d&c done like February 16 of this year and my period came on like six weeks after that and stayed on for like two weeks and now is the second period and it has been on for two weeks now what does that mean before all this it only lasted for about 6 or 7 days
