What Causes Excess Pubic Hair Growth?

Hi, i seem to have over growing public hair, i have had to shave my bikini line for about 6 years now and i m only 18, and recently it has begun to get worse and now is reaching down my inner thigh. Also my arm pit hair is gradually growing further down and i m scared it will start growing onto my breasts. This can t be normal can it?
