What Causes Excess Vaginal Discharge After Menopausal?

I am post menopausal (age 55). The past couple of days i have had extreme vaginal wetness; not offensive, clear but excessive. I have to get out of bed to wipe myself with toilet tissue. It feels like a heavy period without the bleeding. There are no other symptoms. This is a new event.
