What Causes Excessive Abdominal Gas And Pain In The Left Side?

Hi I have gas,floating, and sounds come from my abdomin. I take simethicone and fell the amount of gas is decreased but the sound still and i feel like pain in my left side of my abdomin mainly down. There is no change in my stool color, but sometimes i see mucus around it. Do you think this symptoms of IBS.
