What Causes Excessive Perspiration While On Pain Medication?

I am trying to connect periods of excessive perspiration that seem unrelated to time. I take a complex set of medications for chronic pain and to control my blood sugar and bp. I suspect that use of splenda may be a critical causal factor. Could it be a cause by itself or does it interact with certain medications to produce this symptom?
