What Causes Extreme Cold Hands And Feet?

My hands and feet are always freezing, even if the rest of my body is warm. I thought it was just a sign of getting older (52) and being overwieght, but my daughter (14) also has the same issues--and she is in excellent physical shape--an athlete who is always exercising, she walks aroundin shorts and a tank top in the dead of winter but her hands and feet are extremely cold. Could this be genetic? Poor circulation?
