What Causes Extreme Hardness And Pain In Nipples?

hi, im seventeen and ive been having this problem for about a week and a half now. my nipples all of a sudden get extremely hard. and even the slightest touch hurts. sometimes its so bad that I lock myself in my room so I can take off my bra. is this something I should worry about?
