What Causes Eye Pulling Sensation In Children?

My 12 year old son is having rolling eyes constantly along with pessing lips together when rolling. He is aware of rolling, and says he cant stop it.we have an eye exam in 2 days. I use rewetting drops as often as we can. What is the seriousness of this? Pam
