Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... I am a 40-year-old white female who has been suffering with severe weakness, muscle aches in my arms and legs, chronic right-sided headaches (at least 3 times a week), right ear pain and ringing in the ear, dizziness and severe fatigue over the past 2 months. I just had an MRI of my brain done with contrast and here is the impression: SEVERAL NON-SPECIFIC WHITE MATTER FOCI SHOWING INCREASED SIGNAL ON THE FLAIR AND THE T2, OF UNCERTAIN SIGNIFICANCE. THESE ARE COMMON IN AN OLDER AGE GROUP, WHEN THEY ARE USUALLY ATTRIBUTED TO SMALL VESSEL DISEASE. IN VIEW OF THE PATIENT’S RELATIVELY YOUNG AGE, CLINICAL CORRELATION AS TO POSSIBILITY OF DEMYELINATING WHITE MATTER DISEASE OR VASCULITIS IS RECOMMENDED. I am going to see a neurologist for followup but need to know if there is a possibility that could be multiple sclerosis.
