What Causes Feeling Of Having Something In Throat?

I have a hard bony protrusion behind my uvula and one lower in the throat just past the flap in your throat I recently had some sinus issues and still have some mucous in my throat and sinus I do use tobacco both smoke and chew but not heavily the only symptom would be the feeling of somethig in my throat. Other than that no pain or anything other than the mucous from my recent sinus problems can you please give me some idea as to what this is? I m 18 and live around St. Louis missouri
