What Causes Feeling Of Something Stuck In The Nasopharynx?

Good Evening, I have twice now, in the last week, had the feeling that something was stuck in the posterior of my nasopharynx (moreso on the nasal side) Its kind of the same feeling as when you break while eating and get a piece of food up your throat towards the nasal area. Well both times after much hacking I produce a rather rubbery grey almost snail looking and sized thing (like a really big (almost dime sized) booger). Is this normal or something that I should see a physician about?
