What Causes Feet And Sweat Odor?

I noticed that after work, when i take off my socks, my feet smell faintly of vinegar and my husband noticed a vinegary smell in the room where is work out on my elliptical trainer for an hour daily. What causes the vinegary smell in my sweat? I'm guessing that is where the smell is coming from.
