What Causes Fever , Body Pain And Sore Throat?

Had a 105 degree temperature last night body aches and really bad head ache with loud ringing in ears . Took mucin ex packet with Tylenol which did nothing. Tried 3 aleves and that brought fever down to 101 and then 99.5 . This started two days ago with just a little bit of coughing. Have sore throat , cough, and ringing in ears with occasional head ache . Is there anything I can do to speed up my recovery time ?
