What Causes Fever In An Infant After An Injury?

Today My 10 month old baby fell from top of the stairs and landed on the concert part of unfinished basement. He has fever but the fever started yesterday. His sister is sick. He has runny nose too. Should I still be concerned about the fever after fall?
