What Causes Fever, Sore Throat And Cough?

I had a terrible fever yesterday but went to sleep and woke up today feeling much better? How is this? I still have a sore throat body aches and occasional cough tho but no high temperature . Also I've been repeatedly sick 3 times in the last 3 months twice being this month..
