What Causes Feverish Followed By Swollen Tonsils?

i have acute tonsil problem since the last one month. I have tried antibiotics but that did not help. Currently i am doing a one month homeopathy course. It was better for the first 10 days , but now the tonsils have swollen again. I am scared that it is throat cancer.When my tonsils swell i feel slightly feverish with body ache. Could it be just acute tonsils or could it be throat cancer?
