What Causes Fluctuations In BP When On Lisinopril?

My blood pressure has been all over the place since starting Lisinopril and wound up in the hospital feeling really bad. I'm taking 10mg of lisinopril. I have been tingly feeling and nauseated. Do you think this is a side effect? I've been on them since last Tuesday. I went to the ER Friday night thinking I was having a heart attack.
