What Causes Fluid In Knees When Suffering From Lymes Disease?

My daughter has been diagnosed with Lymes disease . It was found when she developed fluid on the right knee without having any injuries. Now she is developing fluid on the left knee when she increases her activity. She is seeing her internal medicine doctor but we are thinking there could be something else going on. She just had the fluid drawn off the knee and sent for more testing. Can Lymes disease settle on one knee and then transfer to other joints
