What Causes Fluid Leak From The Belly Button?

The other day i was cleaning my belly button and there was this little sharp hard piece i dont know how to explain it felt like a little piece of glass like sitting on the bottom of the inside of my button and when i tried to get it out it would not come out so I kept trying to get it out and now it has caused my button to leak fluids when before i tried getting it out didn't leak. Any ideas?
