What Causes Fluid Retention In Knuckles?

I have what feels like fluid on my knuckle. My hand is partly swollen too. I was listening to music and drinking a few days ago and I punched my desk one time. I don t think I punched it hard, but it still swollen and it feels like fluid is on my knuckle.
