What Causes Fluid Retention In The Ears?

My ears keep filling with fluid. This has never happened before. I don t have any pain. I went to urgent care and the doctor said it was allergies. I m now taking a prescription nose spray, claritin and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 30 mg but my symptoms aren t any better. What do you suggest?
