What Causes Fluid Vaginal Discharge With Strong Odour After Giving Birth?

I had a baby a week ago. My placenta didn t come out. They tried to manually remove the placenta. But it didn t work so they took me to the or to do a D&C . I haven t had much bleeding. A lot of discharge. Now it has a different odor to it. I ve had no pain other than the pain associated with the birth and D&C. And that has gotten better. I don t have insurance so running to the dr isn t an option.
