What Causes Fluttering Sensation Near Thyroid And Feeling Of Palpitations?

I have hypothyroid, I am having some fluttering sensation in the area where my thyroid is. Also feels like palpitations with the need to cough to make that stop. When I was first diagnosed this is how I felt. Could my medication need to be increased?
