What Causes Foul Odor From Vagina With History Of Bacterial Infection?

About a year ago I noticed a foul odor coming from my vagina I immediately contacted my GYN. I went in and after testing me she diagnosed me with a bacterial infection. She prescribed me a medication that i had to take by mouth for 7 days. The odor went away. However 6 months later i smelled the same odor so i made another appointment and again she said it was another bacterial infection so she prescribed another medication that i was to take by mouth but i had to take 5 pills in one osage. Now here i am today and i smell the same odor what esle could this be?
