What Causes Foul Smell During And After Periods While Having Mirena?

I've had the marina coil for 3 years due to heavy periods, the past year when having and just after a period a digusting smell comes from there when the period is completely over the smell goes I'm constantly bathing even that doesn't help! thinking of having it removed as I feel embarrased.
