What Causes Foul Smelling Night Sweats?

Hi, I have suddenly started getting night sweats that completely soak my bedding. I am fine when I go to sleep and not too hot or cold but will wake up in the middle of the night drenched. The sweat is a really unusual smell not like BO almost sour like vinegar and foul smelling. I m female, 24 average build
