What Causes Frequent Menstruation?

I had 2 menstrual cycles within a 2 week period. What could this be? They only last 3.5 days but that is my normal time frame for my cycle. I also have had unprotected sex within this time. Should I be concerned about pregnancy even though my cycle came on?
