What Causes Frequent Pain In Left Breast And Pins And Needles In Hand?

For about 3 months now I have been experiencing very sharp pain under my left breast (which takes my breath away), it last for approx 5-10 minutes at a time but happens often. Last night I went to bed as normal and was woken up at 2am this morning with the sharp pain under my left breast and pins and needles in my hand. I was in so much pain I could not move for a good 15-20 minutes. Do you have any suggestions as to what this could be ?
