What Causes Frequent Redness In My Cheeks?

I have a problem with my cheeks turning very red. I have a history of type 2 diabeties. My blood sugar was fine for several years after dianosis but i have gained some weight lately and my blood sugar reads high sometimes. My cheeks turn very red after my heart rate is up and sometimes they turn red for no reason. If i eat they turn red, if i dont eat for a while they turn red.
