What Causes Frequent Redness On Upper Chest And Arms?

I am 48 years old female, white. I have constant reddish flushing on my upper chest and arms. This is the only areas. Can it be a sign of menopause approaching? Or should I make an appointment with a doctor. I have no other symptoms. I am hypothyroidism though but am checked regularly with my blood levels under control. Thank you for your help.
