What Causes Fuzzy Head For Days Along With Blurred Vision?

Good Evening Doctor,

The hospital consultant believes I had a migraine, I had a fuzzy head for a couple of days and my vision was blurry, I was somewhat concerned that the A & E Doctor thought I may have had a "mini stroke". I have never had painful headaches or migraine before, just a fuzzy head that took 6/7 days to go and than felt really worn out and tired for another 6/7 days and then felt great after that. My GP has put me on Simvastatin 40 mg for 28 days. The thing is I had lost 1 st in weight, no red meats, only fish and chicken, fresh vegetables and fresh fruit, excercise and I cannot undertstand why I need to take statins and 300mgs of aspirin.
I am 59 years old, 5'.1", 11st and looking after my weight, and only had winter cold, last one was 5 years ago, I consider my self fit and happy.
Kind Regards,
