What Causes Grey Color Bump On The Hip?

Hi. I had what looked like a gray bump with a dark center on my hip. So I squeezed it and saw something brown so I pulled it out it was like a thin stiff spinter except it when I pressed on it it was stiff but flatten out like a pancake no odor that I could tell.
