What Causes Groin Swelling With Pain Radiating To The Ovary And Labia?

I am having moderate to severe pain accompanied by some swelling in my groin area on the right side. I originally had some labial swelling, but it is gone- still hurts. Pain radiates from ovarian area to labia, down my right leg. On internal manual exam last week Dr. said I had an "enlarged right ovary." I had an internal ultrasound done today and everything "appeared normal." Pain gets MUCH worse if I walk (esp down steps) or step on my car brake. Next step is a CT scan but am awaiting insurance "approval." My maternal grandmother had ovarian cancer... What are your thoughts?
