What Causes Growing Knots Filled With Blood On Leg?

I have a knot on my leg that almost feels like ingrown hairs, but they get bigger and bigger, and then I popped one, and it's just blood.. nothing else, it's like a huge blood clot, and I've had these like the last 4 years, and I am a bit over weight but they don't hurt or anything, what can this be?
