What Causes Hair Fall?

someone i know lost their hair a few years ago..she now wears a wig. her family has no idea what is wrong with her because she wont tell them. shes completely bald..has no air on her arms or legs, yet has eye brows. when her hair was falling out it attracted flies. what could be wrong with her?
