What Causes Hallucinations After Having Wellbutrin?

After being on welbutrin 150mg twice a day for 5 days I experienced a hulliciginic/delerium/amniesic episode with suicidal attempt which ended with police-hospital-psychiatric exam. now charges for resisting arrest and aggrivated assault. The VA gave me this to stop smoking. I had also had 5 beers before this happened. i am only on simvistatin and a tylenol 3 for deginerated disc disease. Is this something that was caused by the welbutrin? the Psychiatrist seems to think so.
