What Causes Hard Lump On The Wrist Along With Swelling In Hand?

Yes,my left hand is extremely swollen with a big knot on the top below my wrist,very red,hard and extremely stiff and extremely painful,my fingers,front , back of hand all is swollen I have to hold it up,if I let it fall down by my side it gets unbearable,what is it?
