What Causes Hard Red Bumps On Vagina?

I am prone to getting boils I get them quite frequently after my period I noticed two hard red lumps on my vagina (outside) one came to a head and some liquid came out and it s very dry around the area flaking skin. I am worried it s herpes however I m assuming I might have different symptoms. What does it sound like to you? Usually with all the boils I ve had the skin around gets very dry
