What Causes Headache And Blocked Nose?

the problem that I am facing frequently is headache. yesterday i was diagnosed with allergic rhinitis with deviated nasan septum& teratment is started. my question is why I feel that there is something within the nose , when I massege the two sides of the nose I get relief from headache . why is it so?
