What Causes Headache And Dizziness?

Hi, I've had a terrible headache all day today and I even went home sick from work. Its just a headache, no fever or anything else along with it.
Its just on my left side with throbbing pain every five mins or so. and sometimes i get lightheaded.
What is it? How can I make it go away?
