What Causes Headache And Fever While On Sulfamethoxazole?

Hi I have been getting treated for an infection in my right lower leg which was swollen and red and had itchy bumps. I just finished taking sulfamethoxazole-tmp and Friday I woke up with a headache and fever and a brusing rash on my inside right arm which now has spread to my wrist.
