What Causes Headache, Fever, Muscle Pain And Blood In Urine?

since returning from portugal two weeks ago, my husband has developed a fever of 39c and over. this is alternating with chills.he has a continual headache, muscle aches and pains and blood in his urine. He has been this way now for over a week.is maleria a possibility? he is not one for the doctor,so often underplays an illness but i am really worried about him.He is 57 and has never been ill.
