What Causes Headache, Sore Throat And Yellow Mucus In Nose?

I have been sick with a virus for a week. Started with a fever , severe headache, sore throat, aches. Dr. Tested for flu and it was negative. Three days ago, I noticed my ears have a constant slight ring and I feel off balance at times. In addition, my nose is randomly leaking a yellow/orange liquid that doesn t match my mucus when I blow my nose. This typically happens when I bend over or lean forward. What could this be?
