What Causes Headache With Ear Pain And Nausea?

Hi my mum have been having headaches for the past one month plus she feels nausea at the same time and it's has been affecting her. Just this week she started to have pain in her ear and when we went to the doctor, the doctor told us is due to clogging of ear wax in the ear. I'm worried that this may be something more serious. I hope you could give me some suggest what the problem is? Thanks a lot
