What Causes Headache With Vomiting?

My boyfriend has been complaining about getting random mild headache attacks in the middle of the afternoon for several months now. He says his head starts to hurt, his mouth begins to water, and his body overall feels strange. The attacks last for about 10 minutes and then pass. Then today for the first time, he got the headache and threw up. What do you think this could be?
