What Causes Headache?

My 10 year old daughter came in from playing ouyside 4 nights ago with what looked like 8 to 110 small bug bites all over her legs but they have all gotten bigger and have been hurting her pretty bad, she has also complained of headaches nad one of the areas drained some white puss tonight. What could this be?
