What Causes Headaches And Pain In Legs At Night?

My son is a couple of weeks away from being 5. He recently began complain of headaches and we saw our doctor who refered us to an opthomologist. Now he is waking in the nights crying out that he is having pain in his legs. Could this be related or something new? I m at a loss.
