What Causes Heart Murmur After Aortic Valve Replacement Surgery?

My husband recently had avr surgery. When he was in the Navy 35 years ago the doctors discovered he had a murmur and we are wondering if that murmur was related to the condition he just had repaired. While we have the Navy doctor s notes, we can t read the doctor s shorthand and aren t sure what the notes mean. Can you help us, please?
