What Causes Heat Bumps Like Things On Upper And Inner Thighs?

My husband has what we believe to be heat bumps on his upper, inner thighs. They are painful, and fairly large and ooze dark yellow puss when squeezed. They are progressively moving toward his genetals and he's beginning to think they are more than just jeat bumps. We don't have the funds to see s doctor right now.
